Are stainless firearms better than blued or parkerized?

Are stainless rifles really that much better than other finishes? I own firearms that have parkerized, blued and stainless finishes...... When done shooting I have always cleaned and oiled my firearms. In the 25 years I have been in the shooting sports I have had no problems with rusting or any other finish problems besides a little wear. Are any of these finishes more superior than the others? I see a lot of hype in the gun publications about stainless rifles but personaly dont see the big diff. I do not live or shoot near saltwater, just the usual upstate NY rain.... Opinions??
