Spiritually speaking, what makes a religion?

Although definitions vary, so that some would say religion is a structured belief system that includes faith, I believe you are right, ultimately, for some, science is their religion. For some nationalism is their religion. For some business and money are their religion, and some worship themselves. They are structured systems and although evidence is presented, they take a great dealon faith in authorities.
