How long should I give my body to reset after too much cardio?

So I'm 6ft 2in, 191 lbs. Went through a huge weight loss last year (80 lbs), and now I'm all about maintenence. I recently realized I was doing way too much cardio. I was working out 6 or 7 days a week for the last 2 months. So my body fat% has gone up from 11% to almost14%. I'm taking a week off, and dialing back my regimen to 4 or 5 days a week. I usually do 20 minutes high intense cardio, and 45 minutes of weights. I'm making good progress with my weights program. My question is how long should I give my body to get out of freak out mode, and get back to burning fat?
